Our Volunteers
The Pet Cross (TPC) was founded on Christian principles to serve others; however, you don’t have to be a Christian to use its services or volunteer. TPC founder, Dr. Lisa Thompson, personally felt called to this work as stated in this scripture.
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
1 Peter 4:10
TPC believes everyone has value and gifts that can be shared. We appreciate your interest in volunteering with us. All our services are solely run by volunteers and funded by donations. We have no paid staff. This allows us to have every donation go straight into the care and welfare of our clients’ animals.
We are continually looking for the right volunteers for the right jobs. The requirements are pretty simple, have a heart for the people we serve and a love for animals. The reward is in tail wags and heartfelt appreciation. Volunteers, who may work with sensitive information, will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Our final requirement is we ask all volunteers to agree with our drug/alcohol free zone policy. While you are working with/for TPC, we ask that volunteers refrain from the use and/or distribution of any drugs/alcohol, legal or illegal. We do this to protect The Pet Cross, its clients and volunteers.
If you are comfortable with these requirements, email Kimberly Bolding
